Georgia to Host the Second Annual Tbilisi Finance Summit

01 June, 2026

On 27–28 October 2026, Georgia will host the Tbilisi Finance Summit, a major international event. This year's summit will be held under the theme: “Building Regional Economic Corridors at the Intersection of Policy, Finance, and Technology.”

The Tbilisi Finance Summit is jointly organized by the National Bank of Georgia, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, and the Singapore-based Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN). The event will bring together governors of central banks from around the world, as well as representatives of the fintech industry, the financial sector, international companies, and the innovation and technology ecosystem.

Over the course of two days, participants will engage in thematic sessions, panel discussions, workshops, and professional networking meetings focused on emerging trends in financial technologies and opportunities for regional cooperation. Discussions will cover topics such as the development of cross-border economic and financial corridors, financial technologies, open banking, artificial intelligence, and Georgia’s role as a regional platform for financial innovation, among others.

The summit will also feature a hackathon aimed at fostering innovation and facilitating the identification and implementation of new ideas and opportunities.

“An international event of this scale creates an important opportunity for Georgia to engage more actively in global financial and innovation processes, attract international investment, strengthen partnerships with leading global companies, and contribute to the country’s economic development,” said Natia Turnava, Governor of the National Bank of Georgia.

The Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) is a Singapore-based international platform that brings together public- and private-sector stakeholders involved in the development of financial technologies, innovation, digital transformation, and modern financial ecosystems. The network encompasses leading financial centers around the world, including Singapore, Japan, Switzerland, and others. Georgia became part of the network in 2025.
