The National Bank of Georgia (NBG), in partnership with the global digital payments company Visa, has launched "Financial Football", an interactive financial education game.

The innovative web platform aims to promote financial awareness and develop practical financial skills among young people by combining football strategy and dynamics with the acquisition and practical application of financial knowledge.

Opening remarks were delivered by Ekaterine Mikabadze, First Vice-Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, and Diana Kighuradze, Visa's Regional Manager for the Caucasus and Moldova.

The presentation was attended by representatives of the National Bank of Georgia, the commercial, public, and private sectors, as well as teachers and students who won the "FinEdu" competition. The most engaging and entertaining part of the event was the practical demonstration of the game. In addition to competing in football rules and game strategies, students also tested their knowledge of financial literacy topics.

"Alongside traditional teaching methods, game-based approaches allow us to make complex financial concepts easier to understand. 'Financial Football' is precisely such a tool it combines the dynamism of sport with the practical application of financial knowledge. It is an example of how the learning process can become more engaging, interactive, and enjoyable,” noted Ekaterine Mikabadze, First Vice-Governor of the National Bank of Georgia.

Developed in cooperation with the National Bank of Georgia, "Financial Football" is part of Visa's educational initiative and aims to present financial topics to young people in a simple, interactive, and engaging format. The game helps participants develop skills in managing various financial scenarios and making informed decisions, thereby strengthening their financial capabilities in everyday life.
