Ekaterine Galdava Meets with President of Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearing Institute
A delegation from the National Bank of Georgia visited the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearing Institute (KFTC) during their trip to South Korea. As part of this visit, Ekaterine Galdava, Vice Governor of the NBG, held a meeting with Yongseok Park, President of the KFTC.
The discussions focused on opportunities for future cooperation and an assessment of ongoing projects. Topics included Georgia's payment systems, the central bank's role in fostering innovation and financial stability, and the policies implemented by the NBG to maintain a stable macroeconomic environment and ensure financial resilience.
The visit also featured seminars aimed at fostering knowledge exchange. Varlam Ebanoidze, Head of the Payment Systems Department, and Natalia Chkoidze, Head of the Financial and Supervisory Technology Development Department at the NBG, delivered presentations highlighting Georgia’s FinTech strategy and payment system advancements.
In return, representatives from the KFTC conducted a seminar focusing on key aspects of Korea’s financial ecosystem, including payment systems, credit scoring, FinTech policies, and open banking.
