Ekaterine Galdava and Nino Jeladze Participate in Joint EBRD–J.P. Morgan Conference

On April 15, 2026, in Washington, D.C., within the framework of the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group, Vice Governors of the National Bank of Georgia, Ekaterine Galdava and Nino Jeladze, participated in a joint conference organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and J.P. Morgan.


The conference, titled “Market Index Reform and Derivative Financial Instruments: A Milestone in the Development of Financial Markets,” brought together leading experts and analysts from various segments of the financial sector.


Participants discussed key milestones in the development of financial markets across both advanced and emerging economies. The agenda also covered the integration of new market indices into the broader financial system.


The IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings convene Governors and Alternate Governors of the IMF and World Bank, alongside representatives from the financial sectors of nearly all countries worldwide, including central bank governors, ministers of finance, and private sector executives. Discussions focus on issues of global importance, including the outlook for the world economy, poverty reduction, economic development, financial stability, as well as cybersecurity and financial technologies.
