The National Bank of Georgia publishes a draft of amendments to the Open Banking Regulation.

On the basis of the amendment made to the decree No. 80/04 of the Governor of the National Bank of Georgia dated May 3, 2023 (hereinafter - the decree) On Approving the Regulation on Inclusion in Open Banking, micro-banks, similar to commercial banks, will be included as participants in Open Banking and the rights and obligations stipulated by the said decree will apply to them.

Additionally, to ensure transparency, to simplify and streamline the process outlined in the regulation approved by the decree, minimum criteria that bank guarantees submitted by entities to the National Bank of Georgia must meet have been added to the regulation.
