Delegation from central bank of Congo visited NBG to share experience

On April 10, the delegation from central bank of Congo visited NBG. The aim of the visit is getting to know the latest reforms implemented by the National Bank of Georgia. Many official delegations from Asia, Africa, eastern Europe and CIS have already visited the National Bank of Georgia in order to share experience; most of these visits were held on the recommendations of the World Bank.

A subject of visitors' particular interest is the firsthand acquaintance with the high-tech payment systems of the NBG, which allow financial institutions to perform transfers quickly and safely. Georgian colleagues will provide foreign specialists with the information on the adoption of the Georgian Payment and Securities Settlement (GPSS) System. Also, the guests will learn about the advantages of Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system. Guests will visit the Cash Center, which is equipped with modern security technology and is in full compliance with international standards.

The delegation of the central bank of Congo includes representatives of the Payment Systems, Infrastructure and IT departments, also RTGS and Payment systems project managers.
