Debt-Service Payment Schedule for Outstanding External Debt

National Bank of Georgia starts publishing two additional tables on external debt statistics. Amortization schedule (both for principal and interest) will be published quarterly, no later than 100 days after reporting period.

The first table is presented in GDDS (General Data Dissemination System) format, while second table in SDDS (Special Data Dissemination Standard) format. Those tables are sent to the World Bank quarterly.

The table „Public Debt-Service Payment Schedule for Outstanding External Debt“ contains data about public and publicly guaranteed debt service schedule. Schedule presents periods of payments for principal and interest. Debt payable in the nearest one year period is presented by quarterly intervals; from one year to two years – by six months intervals; from 3 years to five years – by yearly intervals; from five years to fifteen years – by five years intervals; while debt payable in more than fifteen years are summed up. From “immediate payments” 27.8 million USD is loan to Kazakhstan issued in 1996. This loan should be restructured under Paris 2 agreement, but final agreement with creditor is not yet reached. The remaining amount is debt to Turkmenistan which is being paid.

The table „Debt-Service Payment Schedule for Outstanding External Debt“ contains data about debt service schedule by sectors. Debt payable in one year period is presented by quarterly intervals; from one year to two years – by six months intervals; while debt payable in more two years are summed up. “Immediate payments” contain deposits of non-residents and arrears on debt.
