Cyber Security Awareness Month: Marked in Georgia for the Second Year Now

On the initiative of the NBG, Georgian financial sector joins the international tradition this year as well to engage in the cyber security awareness campaign. Cyber ​​Security Awareness Month is celebrated worldwide in October. This year's slogan is It’s easy to stay safe online.

 

While advances in digital technologies make financial and other related services fast and efficient, they also pose higher cyber risks. Raising public awareness about the security of banking/financial information is one of the priorities for the National Bank of Georgia. The NBG has already implemented a number of projects in this area.

 

The National Bank has been working with FinEdu (www.finedu.gov.ge), the financial education portal, the National Cybersecurity Alliance, the Bankers’ Association and five commercial banks - Bank of Georgia, Basisbank, Liberty Bank, Credo Bank and ProCredit Bank on the project. The parties involved are implementing cybersecurity projects and activities all through the month.
