In July 2023, the banking sector’s assets, liabilities and capital are represented according to data prepared based on IFRS standard.

As of the end of July 2023, the banking sector in Georgia is represented by 15 commercial banks, including 13 - foreign-controlled banks. In July 2023 the total assets of Georgian commercial banks constituted 71.3 billion GEL.

The banking sector's equity capital equals 11.4 billion GEL, which makes up 16.0 percent of the commercial banks total assets.
