Between the period of May 26-29 of the current year the meeting of the Consulting Board of the Governors of Internal Audit Services of CIS and Baltic States was held in Tajikistan. Consulting Board has been established seven years ago and aims at sharing the experience of internal audit services of central banks of the member countries as well as the further improvement of the professional practice and implementation of international standards.

Various organizational and professional issues of internal audit services of central banks of presented countries have been discussed in the course of this meeting. During the mentioned meeting it was decided that Mr. Mamuka Jibuti, the Head of the Internal Audit Service of the National Bank of Georgia will be elected as the Head of the Consulting Board of the Governors of Internal Audit Services of CIS and Baltic States for the term of the next one year period (2008-2009). Next meeting of the Board will be held in Georgia in 2009.
