It should be noted that this series of educational and working seminars has been conducted nationwide for the past three years, with the number of participants increasing annually.
During the meetings, the National Bank of Georgia presented updated reporting requirements to representatives of currency exchange bureaus and lending entities, aimed at enhancing operational reporting standards and transparency. Seminar participants were also familiarized with updated instructions for completing financial reports and using the electronic portal.
The seminars were conducted in an interactive format. Participants had the opportunity to share their experiences, discuss the challenges and needs of the non-banking sector, and highlight the importance of regular educational meetings. At the conclusion of the events, participants were awarded certificates.
"The National Bank of Georgia, as the regulator of the financial sector, regularly holds working meetings and seminars with representatives of the non-banking sector, both in Tbilisi and across the regions. Such meetings contribute to the development of the financial sector by equipping its representatives with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure compliance with legislation and ethical standards. Our objective is to mitigate risks and promote effective management within the non-banking sector, which is a prerequisite for the stability and reliability of the financial system," stated Irma Bokuchava, Head of the Non-Banking Institutions Supervision Department.
Similar meetings will continue in Tbilisi and other regions of the country.
