Commercial Banking Reporting

    Transparency of the financial sector is one of the priorities of the National Bank of Georgia. High levels of transparency help reduce information asymmetry, increase confidence in the financial sector, and protect the rights of consumers and investors. The National Bank of Georgia implements reforms to achieve this goal.

     

    Transparency of information of commercial banks is one of the constituents for the transparency of the financial sector. According to the requirements of the National Bank, reports prepared according to both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Pillar 3 are accessible. These include information on bank risk exposures, regulatory capital elements, corporate governance and risk management.

     

    Commercial banks send different types of reports to the supevisory body:

     

    • Audited annual financial statements
    • Pillar 3 annual forms
    • Pillar 3 quarterly forms
    • Other forms of supervision
