The Successful Model of Cash Centre of the National Bank of Georgia will be implemented in Moldova

On April 23-24, delegation of the National Bank of Moldova, headed by the Deputy Governor Mr. Aureliu Cincilei visited the National Bank of Georgia.
The main purpose of the visit is to share the successful experience of the NBG. A subject of a particular interest is the cash Centre of the National Bank, which is only one in the CIS, equipped with the modern safety technologies in compliance with the international standards.
George Melashvili, Executive Director of the National Bank showed the visitors around the specialized cash centre building and talked about its unique capabilities.
The representatives of the NBG Cash Centre will share their experience with the Moldavian colleagues about the cash operations and security measures, about other important aspects which will be useful for a successful implementation of the project.
Cooperation between the National Banks of Georgia and Moldova is carried out within the framework of Memorandum of Bilateral Cooperation formed in 2012 aiming at promoting development of bilateral relations between the financial sectors of two countries in the banking and financial fields as well as to benefit from the best practices implemented in both institutions.
Official delegations of Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, CIS countries have visited Georgia in order to share experience; most of them visited Georgia upon the recommendation of the World Bank.
