The National Bank of Georgia Temporarily Suspends the License and Registration Processes

23 March, 2020
As COVID-19 continues to spread, the National Bank of Georgia has decided to suspend the license and registration processes for representatives of the financial sector for two months.

By the order of the Governor, the National Bank of Georgia stops accepting applications and relevant documentations for two months regarding registration, license, permissions, authorization/approval for Microfinance Organizations, currency exchange bureaus/branches, loan issuing entities/branches, payment service providers and system operators, credit unions, stock exchanges, central depositaries, specialized depositaries, brokerage companies, and securities market.

The following does not apply to those, who submitted the documentation to the National Bank of Georgia, before the issuing of the order. The review processes will continue in accordance with the relevant laws and within the timeframe defined in the terms and conditions.

Together we will be able to promptly overcome the virus and return to our normal routine.
