The National Bank of Georgia revokes banking license of JSC Capital Bank

Based on the Decree of the Vice-President of the National Bank of Georgia, JSC Capital Bank’s banking license has been revoked and the process of liquidation has started.

Inspections conducted at JSC Capital Bank revealed the Bank’s failure to comply with the requirements of Anti Money Laundering (AML) legislation, as well as the Bank’s violation of NBG rules and instructions, and international banking standards and practice.

According to NBG, the claims of all creditors - depositors in the first place - will be fully met during the liquidation process.

In order to ensure timely and uninterrupted settlement of all liabilities of JSC Capital Bank, we ask creditors to kindly provide following documents to the bank liquidator:

In case of individuals:

• Identity document;
 Documents confirming your claim to the Bank.

In case of legal entities:

• A record from the National Agency of Public Registry on the registration of the legal entity;
• Identity document of the authorized person;
Documents confirming your claim to the Bank.
