New project of the National Bank of Georgia, systemic banks and JSC Credit Information Bureau Creditinfo Georgia will make it easier for customers to access personal data

01 April, 2021

The National Bank of Georgia continues to work actively to protect consumer rights and raise awareness about financial products. For this purpose, a new project was launched in February 2021 with the active participation of JSC Credit Information Bureau Creditinfo Georgia and systemic banks (TBC Bank, Bank of Georgia, Liberty Bank). Within the framework of this project, systemic banks offer their customers to register for the "My Creditinfo" service through digital channels - Internet / Mobile Banking.

Using the service of "My Creditinfo" the customer will be able to get a credit report three times a year for free. After activating the service, the bank, with the consent of the customer, transmits the personal data of the customer to the JSC Credit Information Bureau Creditinfo Georgia, after which the customer will receive the necessary information for authorization on the "My Creditinfo" page via short text message. After authorization, any person will be able to obtain a credit report statement that fully includes the data collected by the Credit Information Bureau and made available to credit organizations. It is worth mentioning that a free credit account statement does not contain additional information processed by the Bureau, such as, for example, credit score, rating. Customers can view them in case of activating other additional services of "My Creditinfo". Access to the information provided will help consumers to analyze their existing credit information in detail. In case of inaccuracies found in the credit report statement, customers can contact the service bank, JSC Credit Information Bureau Creditinfo Georgia, or the National Bank of Georgia to correct the information.
