National Bank Of Georgia Issued A Collector Coin Dedicated To The 20th Jubilee Of National Currency – Lari

 National Bank Of Georgia issued a collector coin dedicated to the 20th jubilee of national currency - Lari.

The coin, with the face value of 20 Lari, weighs 28.28 g, and is minted from silver 925 . The coin's design is created by Bacha Malazonia.

The central motive of the coin design on the obverse is the sun, which symbolizes eternity and lifetime, with the purple color of sunrays expressing the national symbols and also being the color of authority, power and courage. The central part of coin contains a newly introduced Lari sign with the circled inscription „საქართველოს ეროვნული ბანკი" (National Bank of Georgia) and the dates of circulation period of Lari, from the beginning  till today. 

On reverse, in the central part of the coin, there is the symbol of the safety and security of  the national currency, the modern building of The Cash Centre.  The denomination numeral 20 and inscription "ლარი" (lari) in Georgian are placed beneath it. Above the image of the Cash Centre building, on the right-hand side there is an inscription "National Bank of Georgia" in English language.

The coin has been minted by Polish Mint, (Mennica Polska, Poland) in amount of 1500 pieces. The sale price is 95 GEL and the coins will be available starting today, at the Cash Center of NBG, at the Money Museum in Kvareli and from the online store on the NBG webpage.
