Giorgi Kadagidze met Wilhelm Molterer, vice-president of European Investment Bank

At the meeting, governor of NBG presented to Wilhelm Molterer information on current economic situation in Georgia, including the detailed information on Georgian financial sector. The conversation touched upon investment environment and reforms implemented by NBG. The emphasis was also made on the future cooperation, which will start after signing EU Association Agreement.

EIB vice-president, Wilhelm Molterer visited Georgia together with Euro Commission president, José Manuel Barroso, in order to participate in Georgia-EU International Investors Conference. This conference has particular importance given the upcoming signing of EU-Georgia Association Agreement.  A 80 million euro infrastructure project between EIB and Georgia has been signed at the conference.

EIB is EU's nonprofit credit organization, providing long-term loans for the various development projects both inside and outside EU. The EIB Group consists of the European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund, - the specialist arm providing SME risk finance.
