From January 3 to 5, NBG's Monetary and Payment Transactions Will proceed without Disruption

29 December, 2023

By the decision of the Government of Georgia, the period spanning from January 3, 2024, to January 5, 2024, has been officially designated as holidays. However, considering the critical nature of certain work functions, NBG's monetary and payment operations will proceed without interruption during this period.

Between January 3 and 5, the National Bank of Georgia assures that payment and securities settlement systems, cash operations, and monetary instruments will remain fully accessible to commercial banks. Users can expect seamless payment operations during this period. The National Bank's monetary operations, including the publication of the TIBR index and the official exchange rate, will proceed as usual.

It's worth noting that the electronic store of the Money Museum will operate normally, and all NBG products can be purchased exclusively through the online store. For those interested in visiting the Kvareli Money Museum, it will reopen its doors to visitors starting from January 11, 2024.
