The total volume of non-bank deposits in the country's banking sector decreased by 1.1 percent (exchange rate effect excluded volume of deposits decreased by 0.8 percent), or by 252.9 million GEL, compared to November 1, 2018 and constituted 22.0 billion GEL by December 1, 2018. In November, the volume of term deposits decreased by 56.3 million GEL (0.4 percent; exchange rate effect excluded volume of term deposits increased by 0.1 percent). Demand deposits decreased by 196.7 million GEL (2.3 percent; exchange rate effect excluded volume of demand deposits decreased by 2.0 percent).

The larization ratio of total non-bank deposits constituted 36.02 percent by December 1, 2018, and decreased by 0.58 percentage point (exchange rate effect excluded by 0.69 percentage point) compared to November, 2018.

The annual average weighted interest rate on term deposits constituted 5.8 percent. In particular, the interest rate for national currency denominated deposits was 8.0 percent and the interest rate for foreign currency denominated deposits 2.6 percent.

The share of the US dollar in the total volume of foreign currency denominated deposits equals 83.4 percent and the share of the Euro equals 14.9 percent.
