As of the end of October 2022, the banking sector in Georgia is represented by 14 commercial banks, including 13 - foreign-controlled banks. In October 2022, compared to the previous month, the total assets of Georgian commercial banks (in current prices) decreased by 888.6 million GEL, (or by 1.3 percent) and constituted 67.2 billion GEL (exchange rate effect excluded above mentioned indicator decreased by 0.3 percent).

 

The banking sector's equity capital equals 8.9 billion GEL, which makes up 13.2 percent of the commercial banks total assets.
