Employees from the Centralized Risk Management Department of the National Bank of Georgia recently shared their expertise in operational risks, incident management, business continuity, and internal processes with their Kyrgyz colleagues as part of a technical assistance initiative.

Kubanichbek Bokontayev, Governor of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, praised the professionalism and experience of the Georgian team. He also expressed gratitude to Natia Turnava, Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, for her support and assistance.

"We appreciate the support from the National Bank of Georgia. The deep knowledge and extensive experience of NBG employees will significantly contribute to enhancing the operational risk management of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic," said Kubanichbek Bokontayev.

Mariam Manjgaladze, Head of the Centralized Risk Management Department of the NBG, highlighted the importance of such exchanges. "We frequently share our experience with other central banks in the area of operational risk management. The three-day webinar organized by our department generated great interest among our Kyrgyz colleagues," she noted.

It's worth mentioning that employees from NBG's Centralized Risk Management Department regularly participate in the IMF's technical assistance missions, where they assess the operational risks of other central banks and provide recommendations for improvement.
