Natia Turnava Participates in Major Fintech Forum

Natia Turnava, Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, participated in the Point Zero Forum, a significant event focused on financial technologies held in Zurich.

The forum saw the participation of central bank representatives from various countries, regulators, and industry leaders. Participants shared the latest innovations crucial for enhancing and promoting the financial ecosystem.

During a panel discussion, Natia Turnava emphasized the importance of innovations in the development of financial services and highlighted projects implemented by the NBG. She also underscored NBG's role in promoting the fintech ecosystem beyond Georgia and noted the international achievements of Georgian commercial banks, particularly their technological flexibility and innovative, exportable services.

Turnava stated that Georgia has developed a robust financial system, with leading banks expanding their presence in the region. She mentioned that Georgian banks are listed on the London Stock Exchange, which significantly strengthens their international credibility.


She further added, "Moving forward, the National Bank of Georgia will continue to implement proactive regulatory policies, develop cutting-edge fintech infrastructure and forge international partnerships to enhance financial innovation.”
