Papuna Lezhava, NBG Vice-Governor, spoke about the micro-bank reform. The goals of the said reform are: to introduce a model for a medium-sized, stable business and a highly reputable new financial institution in the financial sector,  to promote lending to entrepreneurial activity and agriculture,  to spark competition, and  to achieve lower interest rates on credit products.
